What Happens in Mallorca Stays in Mallorca... Not This Time Around!

Last week, something magical happened. 150 Magnolians from across the globe traded (home)office desks for ocean views and swapped Slack emojis for actual sunshine.

Destination?
Mallorca, a.k.a Company Days 2025 - Holas Edition.

The mission?  
A week of departmental and cross-departamental gatherings and team-building activities filled with connection, collaboration, laughter, and a good dose of lifetime memories.

After surviving airport queues, we landed at the beautiful Hapimag Resort Paguera, where “hello 👋” quickly turned into "hola". The lively "hOlas" shared between colleagues echoed the gentle "olas" (Spanish for waves 🌊) rolling in from the nearby beach. This blend of warm greetings and ocean breezes gave rise to our event’s theme: Holas.

Suddenly, hugs were real and stories flowed, officially launching the week in style with a White Party. Clinking glasses of Prosecco and catching up with teammates we hadn’t seen in over a year or two made us all feel like no time had passed, yet everything was different- in the best possible way.

All geared up with our welcome packs, no sunscreen would hide the blushing faces radiating pure joy and happiness due to the all-so-awaited togetherness and funzone.

No Magnolia gathering would be complete without a spontaneous twist. A brave group of Magnolians decided to take the afterparty literally... to the beach. Some even dove headfirst into the Mediterranean for a moonlit night swim.

The following days struck a magical balance between future-focused workshops and sun-drenched fun: departmental and cross-departamental exchanges, sessions on AI, product strategy, and a good amount of beach vibes. No one was surprised that a trip to Palma ended with a spontaneous disco fever, wholeheartedly embracing the Spanish nightlife.

From sunrise boat rides to secret bays to coastering, kayaking, hiking, winetasting, biking, e-biking, and more sweating than we had emotionally prepared for, we used muscles we forgot we had and discovered passions that we never knew existed.
While life on the sea won’t be our next career move, we absorbed the views and gracefully embraced the olas that the sea threw at us. Some with sore muscles, others totally relaxed from the wide array of wines they tasted, we headed back to our resort for one last night of quality fun and disco moves.

As the sun began to set on our Mallorca journey, we gathered for our Anniversary & Coolness Awards. We celebrated not just our wins but the people behind them with a fun awards ceremony that captured our team spirit. From the unstoppable Dancefloor Destroyer and the confident Presentation Powerhouse, to the well-rested Sleep Like a CEO and the star-worthy Mallorca Main Character, every award highlighted the unique energy each person brings. We also honored dedication with the All In, All Heart Award and gave a loud cheer to the Vietnam team with the Mot, Hai, Ba, YO! Award.

Coastering: What made this breathtaking experience truly iconic was sharing it with my new colleagues. The most profound "trust moment" came when we were actively belaying each other during various ascents and descents. There were moments where one person's safety literally depended on the careful attention and strength of another. Holding that rope, knowing I was responsible for my colleague, and feeling their weight on the line, created an immediate and undeniable bond.

 

“My colleagues are awesome! There are many eloquent, life-loving, adventurous, sporty bunch of people who I can connect with. Everyone I interacted with got me inspired… Even the introvert ones really went out of their way to socialize, or I guess, the company was just so cool that they forgot they were introverts at all.”

So no, what happened in Mallorca won’t stay there this time.

Because we’re bringing home not just plans and ideas, but also friendships rekindled, laughter shared, and a piece of Mallorca team spirit in a souvenir bottle.
