Magnolia DX Cloud Company Certification
The certificate is awarded to a company that has proven to have a deep understanding of running Magnolia DX Cloud projects.
The assessment is a half-day, project-based evaluation conducted by two qualified Magnolia experts. It involves assasing a group of Magnolia DX Cloud project members who have experience in managing and developing projects in Magnolia DX Cloud.
The assessment will involve presenting a Magnolia DX Cloud project, followed by an oral examination to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expertise of Magnolia DX Cloud, encompassing underlying technologies and cloud methodologies.
Acquiring the recognition guarantees that the certified company possess practical experience in managing, operating, and developing projects in Magnolia DX Cloud, being capable of tackling large and complex projects effectively.

Website Developer
In your role as a Website Developer, you are responsible for the front-end development of your website in the Magnolia project.
Your project primarily uses FreeMarker templating and not a purely headless architecture.
In the role of a Website Developer, the following training course is relevant:

Headless Developer
In your role as a Headless Developer, you are responsible for the development of the headless front-end of your website in the Magnolia project.
Your project uses a purely headless architecture. You will learn how to integrate Angular, React, or Vue, and leverage the SPA capabilities in Magnolia.

Front-End Developer
In your role as a Front-End developer, you are responsible for the development of the front end in your Magnolia project.
Your project utilizes a hybrid architecture that combines headless and FreeMarker templating. You will explore all light development possibilities, including FreeMarker templating. For the headless approach, you will learn how to integrate Angular, React, or Vue, and leverage the SPA capabilities in Magnolia.
In the role of a Front-End Developer, the following training courses are relevant:

Full-Stack Developer
In your role as a Full-Stack Developer, you are responsible for customizations and development of the Java back end in the Magnolia project. Additionally, your tasks include managing and building the Java web application and the necessary Java modules.
Your project requires besides the front-end development also customizations and development in the Java back-end.
In the role of a Full-Stack Developer, the following training courses are relevant:

DX Cloud PaaS Ops
You are a member of a Magnolia DX Cloud PaaS project and you are responsible for the operation and monitoring of the cloud platform.
In the role of a DX Cloud PaaS Ops, the following training courses are relevant:

- Day 1: Project Development Training (WebApp Control)
- DX Cloud PaaS Training (Upon request dedicated training)
DX Cloud PaaS Project Developer
You are a member of a Magnolia DX Cloud PaaS project and you are responsible for the design and development of the Magnolia project.
In the role of a DX Cloud PaaS Project Developer, the following training courses are relevant:
- Light Development Training
- Project Development Training
- DX Cloud PaaS Training (Upon request dedicated training)
with an option to also complete the following course according to your project needs:

Requirements
Online exam certification information
Exam token
Purchasing an exam token will grant you access to the corresponding online exam.
An exam token is:
- Valid for 2 months
- Single-use only
Exam requirements
To take the exam, you need only three things:
- Internet access
- Browser
- Unique exam token
Exam preparation
- Attending instructor-led training
- Magnolia project experience
Although you can purchase an exam token directly, we highly recommend attending instructor-led training to increase your chances of passing the exam.
Mode of delivery
- Online and unsupervised
- Multiple choice
Once it begins, the exam cannot be paused, and there is no option to go back to a previous question or resume at a later time. It must be completed in a single sitting.
Certificate validity
The certificate earned through an online exam is valid for two years.
To keep it valid, it must be renewed every two years by successfully passing the corresponding online exam again. We recommend attending an instructor-led training before retaking the exam to update your knowledge to the latest product version.

Exam retakes
If you need to retake the exam, you must purchase a new exam token. There is no limit to the number of exam tokens you can purchase, allowing you to attempt the exam as many times as needed.

Assessment requirements
To undergo the assessment, you need the following:
- Internet access
- Access to project code
- Zoom installed and ready to use
- Presentation capabilities
Assessment preparation
Prerequisites
- Attended the required instructor-led training
- Vast Magnolia project experience
- Magnolia Certified Full-Stack Developer and/or Magnolia Certified DX Cloud PaaS Project Developer
Before the assessment, the developer must prepare a project presentation. Upon registration, detailed information and guidelines on the presentation's content will be provided.
Mode of delivery
- Online via Zoom
- Half-day
The assessment includes a project presentation by the developer, followed by an oral examination conducted by Magnolia experts.
Certificate validity
The certificate earned through an expert-led assessment is valid for up to five years. To maintain its validity during this period, an annual renewal fee is required.
After five years, to extend the certificate's validity, you must demonstrate project experience with a newer Magnolia version.

If you do not pass the assessment, we strongly recommend gaining additional experience with Magnolia projects before reapplying.
