The Challenge
Enhance website content and ensure fluid and seamless UX across all devices
Nexans had been working with a bespoke and highly specialized B2B application that offered only limited options for digital content creation. This hampered the company's digital growth. Nexans therefore needed a system with both B2B and marketing capabilities.
Maintain global consistency with a localized product and services offering
Nexan’s scale creates huge challenges for content consistency - they support 42 international editorial teams in 23 languages all with different local requirements, market realities, ERP systems and specific features had to be taken into account.
The aim was therefore to ensure a uniform design and a coherent storybook across all websites while ensuring thatindividual pages should meet country-specific user needs and be created locally by the various teams.
The Solution
Consolidate content management, product data, and specific B2B solutions
With the help of Magnolia partner fastforward websolutions, Nexans implemented Magnolia's composable DXP as a central hub for its B2B and marketing activities. As a standards-based software, Magnolia enabled Nexans to integrate its existing product, tool and B2B solutions via APIs. This flexibility enables Nexans to consistently integrate the B2B customer experience into an engaging web presence.
Ensure consistency and simplify international collaboration with templates
Magnolia's easy-to-use templates enabled Nexans to implement the clearly defined storybook for all new pages and ensure that all Nexans websites worldwide have a consistent look and feel. The respective editors of the country pages got guidance and support from specific template types, provide rules on the availability of templates and components.
Finally, the DXP allows editors to reuse relevant content not only from top to bottom, i.e. from corporate messages defined on a master site to the country websites, but also between the country websites.
The Result
Automation, efficiency, and a harmonized online presence
By providing a well-formatted template directory, Magnolia makes it easier for Nexans teams to create relevant content and thus deliver a modern, consistent B2B customer experience on a global scale. The big plus: International editors are able to reuse and customize content locally, making workflows much more efficient.
In addition to publishing content faster, the Magnolia DXP ensures that Nexans' storybook is adhered to. Finally, internal development teams are now able to build additional websites without further training. Nexans is therefore well positioned for future growth.
